Parents need to stop giving their children iPads and start giving them books again. They need to stop giving them cellphones at a young age because they need to teach them how to communicate without words, how to not rely on technology, and how to appreciate friendships that don’t need to maintain constant communication every hour of every day. Parents need to take the bright screens away from their children’s eyes and replace it with pages, paper, pens, pencils, crayons, markers, paint, clay, things to create, things to mold, things to expand their imaginations because too many children are drifting away from that one thing that will keep children children - imagination. So, parents: When you look at your child and realize that you’ve lost your child, when you’ve lost their youth, that you’ve blinded them with things that require batteries and made them oblivious to things that only require creativity, how do you feel now?
